We will base your grades on class attendance/participation and the quality of your research paper.
For the research paper, we expect you to produce an original, empirical study suitable for publication in a social science or law journal. At the first class session, we'll explain what we mean by "original" and "empirical."
Deadlines are as follows:
- November 18, 2009: one-page topic proposal
- March 10, 2010: first draft of paper
- April 21, 2010: second draft of paper
