Purpose. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the philosophical bases and historical development of constitutional civil liberties. We place substantial emphasis on the First Amendment and the Right to Privacy.

Grades. I base your grade on the following: two examinations (30 percent each), one paper (30 percent), and class participation (10 percent).
